A Key Management System, or KMS, is an intelligent management system for keys that will log and keep track of who withdraws a key, when it is withdrawn and returned while also stopping any unauthorized withdrawals. An RFID tag, sometimes complemented with a code is used for withdrawals. Keys have a unique electronic key tag that is identified when removed and returned and the system is able to keep track of all keys in real-time while providing a comprehensive audit trail.

The system runs on a user-friendly web-based software that allows full configuration and operation of functions off-site where an administrator for example can remotely release keys via the we browser if needed.

The system is highly flexible and can hold up to 1024 keytags per terminal. For additional security the system is further able to integrate with our VMS SMS module for notifications when certain keys are being withdrawn or returned.
